Lokal returns to the idyllic 1800’s ironworks village of Billnäs at the peak of summer; this time in a new location – an old spade factory – just across the street from last year’s venue. As a continuation and a homecoming of Lokal’s exhibition A Prima Vista at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen this coming June, the expanded group exhibition At First Blush is a celebration of the feeling that wells up in one’s being at the sight of a new love, with the awakening of a new season, or as an artist discovers a new expression. The theme of the exhibition is the blossoming of new life in late spring and early summer – that annual miracle.
